My secret garden

with the coming Spring I am now enjoying work on my .. relax .. escape … find some space for me project ..  that I have named My secret garden ..

being inspired by a lovely friend of mine Marta who is a magician when it comes to her macro photography and thanks whom  I got my micro lens …  I have discovered a wonderful world of miniature details of this world that people often miss .. so I now whenever I get a chance you can find me rolling in the grass … hovering around one particular bush .. sticking my camera in the  nearest pot …  enjoying light and colors like I have never done before … feeling my breath while I capture these wonderful moments of Earth and the nature .. the cold of our nearly Spring ground in the bush … looking for the dancing light amongst the branches and leaves ….

here are some of the latest moments of My secret garden …

it’s not what you think …

I needed a break today .. I got one … about 5minute one .. and the light was just wonderful for a black and white  …. have you ever realized how black and white is not really black and white? there are so many shades of gray that make a wonderful black and white …

here is one from today … my wonderful son K.P. .. who after years of me feeling oh my .. he is different .. got diagnosed with high functional autism …

When I asked people  in the past … I got this response of .. oh no he is such a sweet boy .. he is so social ..  and YES .. he is … but man he does not get it ….  for many people a sign of autism is this Rainman like person .. stern … almost icy cold monotone way of speaking ..

I want to let you know .. it’s not that way .. it’s not what you think ..

My little boy is the sweetest charmer ….. his laugh melts the hardest hearts … his effort to try to connect is unbelievable .. his ability to adapt is admirable ..

Here I need to share one more picture … such typical for our life … here you can see … K.P. and his younger brother Sean … as normally .. K.P. in focus … but man .. look at Sean … his heartful smile .. he has been there all this time .. being such a good baby .. the most amazing toddler .. and the gentlest and caring preschooler … his generosity and love towards us all is more than universal ..  He is such a gift to all of us …

a simple breath

another from my Czech series …

I have known this beautiful lady since kindergarten … we grew up in the same street but  she lived across the tram tracks and I was not allowed to cross it … at high school we had few moments to share in life … she showed me how to properly shave my legs … what kind of books to read … shared some beautiful music with me …………….   after school .. the life went on …

this was my first time to meet her after at least 8 years … it felt like home .. to stand there at a playground .. smell the spring in the air .. and talk like if we saw each other yesterday … a lot happened in both of our lives … big stories that could fill up a book or two .. but there was no need to talk about it all … we watched our children running around .. talked about motherhood .. about the “I” and enjoyed thoroughly the beauty of the moment ..

Each time I look at these photos I know the stories that haven’t been said … I feel my heart dancing … over the moments we happened to share as little girls, teenage girls and now as mums …..   I could not get enough photographs of her little boy …  it felt like diving in the most spectacular well of beauty, his eyes spoke without talking and I felt the greatness of his being and the gift of being her son and how much she values each and every moment together .. moment like a simple breath to blow a dandelion ..  (and if that does not work what are little 2year old hands for :) )

Thank you my friend .. !!!

Mr M

what a sweet little boy … his “bendmymouthcornersdown” action was one of the best I have ever seen :D  these pictures are taken in the backyard of the house I grew up in Czech Republic … I have never realized how spectacular the light can be there …  can you spot the grey rectangle in the grass (kind of a left side of the picture above the ground…  it’s a part of stairs I used to play on a lot … how little they seemed comparing to my memory of it …

Miss N

On my holiday back in my birth country in Czech republic I have met so many old friends, neighbours, acquaintances .. as well as their offspring … Little Miss N was one of children with the most mesmeric blue eyes I have ever seen (you might have spotted her gorgeous face in my slideshow up in the header)  The shoot was very short unplanned and most of the time I was chatting to her mum (my childhood playmate) …  I was amazed about how well the photos came out … here is my favorite  as you can see I still don’t know whether the color or BW version strikes me more … :)
